Aware of the moment in which we exist, our civilization should no longer turn a blind eye to it, smugly expressing the conventional wisdom about how we will find a way out somehow, we come to the realization that the battle for the salvation of the environment is far more difficult than other battles, because in this “war” we first have to conquer ourselves, our habits, cautions, fears and the familiar patterns we live with daily. For generations now we haven’t been schooled in the changes that are necessary because in spite of all the information and knowledge available we are still waiting for a moment of awakening, which has to come from somewhere outside of us ourselves.

The Dolphin Dream Society was established as a non-profit NGO directed towards the development of ecological and ethical awareness as well as positive and proactive action in the protection of the national heritage of the Adriatic Sea, coastal area and islands. Our educational modules, eco communication programs, projects and campaigns promote the linking of the populations of Adriatic Croatia and inland Croatia in matters of environmental protection and sustainable development. They strive to link all of us who feel that for a viable future tomorrow we ourselves have to make a personal effort.
